Top SchoolJohn Schaap is an experienced software and information engineer with nine years in his current focus and a career spanning database design, GIS and .NET-era architecture. As Adviseur Operationeel Informatiemanagement at Kadaster he blends spatial database design, PDOK operations and Geo-informatica with practical DevOps tooling (Jenkins, XL-Deploy) and release automation practices like Liquibase. He has led development and application management teams, built core timetable and real-time systems, and repeatedly operated at the intersection of software architecture and operational delivery. Comfortable across Java, Microsoft .NET, Oracle and open web mapping (OpenLayers), he pairs hands-on coding with system-level thinking to keep geo-infrastructure reliable. A detail worth noting: his background includes both early-stage embedded and enterprise integration work (Siemens/ASML) and deep operational experience in national-scale geographic data services.
