Top SchoolJohn Sloboda is an engineering manager in New York with a decade of experience building and scaling distributed systems across Google and multiple startups. He blends deep technical chops in backend systems, data infrastructure, and machine learning with hands-on product delivery—having moved monoliths to microservices, productionized onboarding flows, and led data ingestion platforms for a prime brokerage. At Google he shipped high-throughput ad-serving infrastructure and experimental ads ML pipelines, even authoring a patent-worthy auction idea, while his startup work spans billing, logistics, and novel integrations. He excels at introducing new technologies and practical data architectures that align engineering with business needs, and has strong operational experience from SRE rotations and running on-call systems. A former solo founder, he brings entrepreneurial grit and a track record of mentoring engineers through growth to ownership.
