👤
SeniorJohn Tsombakos is a Senior Software Engineer with decades of hands-on development experience and over a dozen years in modern web roles, currently building web products at DigitalOptometrics. He has deep Microsoft-stack expertise—ASP.NET MVC, .NET C#, WCF—and a strong track record modernizing legacy systems, from migrating VB6 and Classic ASP to .NET to scaling insurance-rating services. John pairs front-end skills (HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, JavaScript, Knockout.js) with backend tooling (SQL, NHibernate, LINQ) and pragmatic performance testing to deliver reliable production systems. He’s experienced in end-to-end product delivery for regulated domains like health insurance and education administration, often serving as the technical point of contact with external carriers and stakeholders. Based in Spencer, Massachusetts, he also mentors junior developers and explores emerging tech (NoSQL, mobile) to inform practical adoption decisions.
