Top SchoolJohn Vehikite is a Senior Software Engineer with eight years building consumer-facing web and backend systems, particularly in JavaScript (React/Redux, Node/Express) and AWS-driven architectures. He has a strong track record at startups and scale-ups, leading projects that span frontend, microservices, message-queue integrations, and SDK development, and played a key role in Plastiq’s product redesigns and acquisition-readiness. John combines hands-on delivery—over 1000 story points across features, production support, and microservice design—with leadership as project lead, Scrum Master, and on-call engineer. He’s improved payment and accounting workflows (notably a bills system that boosted efficiency by at least 62.5%) and mentors engineers through Thinkful, translating complex integrations (QBO, Netsuite, Xero, Sage) into reliable pipelines. Equally comfortable optimizing developer workflows and shipping customer-facing features, he also contributes to company culture through training and diversity initiatives.
