Top SchoolJohn Wang is a Principal Data Scientist with 15 years of experience applying statistical modeling, machine learning, and mathematical optimization to drive multi-million dollar savings across manufacturing, banking, CPG, and insurance. He has led enterprise analytics strategy and roadmaps while delivering production ML solutions—from the first deep learning deployment at Comerica to predictive warranty and process-monitoring systems at Ford and GM that saved millions and earned GM’s top innovation prize. Comfortable at the intersection of business and engineering, he partners with executives and vendors to translate high-level objectives into operational models for supply chain, revenue management, and inventory optimization. Trained as a PhD industrial/mechanical engineer with an MA in statistics from the University of Michigan, he blends rigorous research methods with hands-on deployment and mentorship of analytics teams.
