John Wilger
Principal Engineering Consultant at Artium AI
Oslo, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorJohn Wilger is a Principal Engineering Consultant and seasoned software leader with over two decades of experience building and scaling engineering teams and platforms across startups and established companies. Based in Oslo, he blends hands-on development with strategic leadership, having driven generative AI adoption, event-sourced architectures, and cross-functional roadmaps at firms like Artium AI and EVERFI. He’s known for translating technical trends into practical initiatives—spawning an internal AI practice that turned into paid client work—and for improving career frameworks and engineering processes to boost transparency and team growth. Comfortable toggling between coding, architecture, and people management, he prioritizes mentorship, inclusive culture, and measurable delivery. An early practitioner of remote pairing and platform evolution, he quietly champions developer craft and pragmatic innovation rather than headline-driven management.
