👤
SeniorJon Austen is a seasoned Software Developer IV based in Portland with over 13 years of professional experience and a broader 25+ year history with Java, holding Oracle Java SE 8 OCA and OCP certifications. He specializes in modernizing legacy systems into modular microservices, automation and performance testing, and containerized deployments using Docker and Terraform on Azure. Comfortable across the stack, he builds Spring Boot services and serverless function apps while contributing to front-end UX with Angular and React Native testing ecosystems. A pragmatic SDET-turned-developer, he brings deep expertise in CI pipelines, testing frameworks, and load/performance tooling that reliably drive production quality. Notably, he’s an SME in automation frameworks and performance testing who pairs hands-on coding with systems-level thinking to de-risk large modernization efforts.
