Top SchoolJon Robison is a Staff Software Engineer with 13 years of experience building scalable systems across cloud, backend, and embedded domains, now working on VR/AR at Meta from Norfolk, VA. He has led architecture and data ownership efforts at Flexport to improve performance and developer productivity, built cloud migration and serverless onboarding pipelines at Cloudreach, and founded startups delivering healthcare and game-focused software. Comfortable across Python, Java, Go/infra tooling and frontend stacks, he blends systems-level thinking with practical engineering—reducing on-call load, improving data quality, and designing secure service-oriented architectures. An entrepreneur and tinkerer, Jon’s past projects range from nurse-scheduling genetic algorithms to real-time computer vision and NES assembly hacks, revealing a knack for solving NP-hard problems and low-level reverse engineering. He holds a Master's in Computer Science and combines research-minded curiosity with production-proven delivery.
