Top SchoolJon Wålstedt is a Principal Software Engineer based in Stockholm with over a decade of hands-on experience building scalable front-end systems and team-level engineering practices. He has progressed from front-end roles at Kambi and SVT to senior and principal engineering positions at King, Mentimeter, and now Elastic, blending deep TypeScript/React expertise with GraphQL and TV/embedded app constraints. Jon has a track record of architecting UI libraries, real-time and large-scale responsive applications, and bespoke tooling (including editor UIs for game engines), which speaks to his strength in complex state management and functional approaches. He is as comfortable shipping production features as he is mentoring engineers and shaping cross-team architecture. An educator by training and early-career lecturer, Jon brings an atypical pedagogical lens to engineering leadership that helps translate complex technical ideas into practical team practices.
