Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJonah Kowall is a seasoned product and engineering executive who builds control planes and observability platforms that let infrastructure teams govern at speed. With roots in computer science and a career stretching from co-founding an early content-filtering startup to scaling AppDynamics through a major acquisition, he combines hands-on infrastructure ops with product strategy across startups and enterprises. He’s led product, design and CTO functions at Aiven, Logz.io, Kentik and Paessler, driving launches, AI integration, and multi-product platform growth while expanding and mentoring high-performing teams. An active open source maintainer (notably in Jaeger and OpenSearch stewardship), Jonah brings a pragmatic belief in vendor-agnostic tooling and has advised data companies and funds on technical go-to-market. Based in Pompano Beach, Florida, he’s focused today on policy-driven orchestration and responsible AI for infrastructure velocity at scale.
