Top SchoolJonathan Feenstra is a software developer with nine years of hands-on experience combining bioinformatics, data science and professional .NET development. He builds and modernises desktop and web applications—currently contributing to BESTMIX® Recipe Management using C#, WPF and SQL Server—while previously shaping ERP features and a rental module in CombiPac. His background in single-cell transcriptomics and image-based phenotyping means he approaches engineering problems with a strong data-driven and scientific mindset, having turned research scripts into production-ready tools and CLIs. Comfortable across Python, R and the Microsoft stack, he bridges research workflows and commercial software, often focusing on code quality, refactoring and reproducible analyses. Colleagues value him for translating complex domain requirements (from genetics to nutrition) into maintainable, well-documented solutions.
