Top SchoolJonathan Girard-viau is a pragmatic Senior Backend Developer with 11 years of experience building reliable payment, billing, and identity systems at high-growth companies like Shopify, GlossGenius, and Elevate Labs. He has driven large-scale migrations and API designs that handled up to $100M in GMV and resolved incidents that recovered six-figure annual revenue, demonstrating a blend of technical ownership and operational rigor. Comfortable leading small multidisciplinary teams, Jonathan emphasizes data-informed decisions, strong documentation, and measurable metrics to reduce defects and improve system reliability. He thrives in dynamic, collaborative remote environments and prioritizes mental health and team culture as much as delivery. Curious and growth-minded, he continually explores new technologies and pragmatic solutions to maximize client and business value. Colleagues describe him as organized, detail-oriented, and relentlessly focused on closing the loop from incidents to durable fixes.
