Top SchoolJonathan Healy is a backend-focused software engineer and business owner with nine years of experience building scalable geospatial and distributed systems using Python, Go, Elasticsearch, MongoDB, and PostGIS. He led open-source projects like stac-fastapi-elasticsearch and contributed to STAC tooling, blending academic research in P2P, blockchain, and LiDAR data provenance with hands-on API and database architecture. As founder of Healy Hyperspatial and a former Sparkgeo engineer, he designs high-performance cloud-native geospatial APIs and data pipelines that turn complex spatial datasets into actionable insights. His background includes blockchain and smart-contract work at stacchain and rigorous distributed-systems teaching and research at UVic, giving him a rare mix of theoretic depth and production delivery. Colocating in Antalya, he still prioritizes open-source collaboration and community-focused tooling that broadens access to geospatial technologies.
