Senior🎓
Top SchoolJonathan Kamau is a pragmatic backend software engineer with 9 years of experience building and scaling production systems across Python, Django/Flask, AWS, and serverless architectures. He has repeatedly turned product requirements into reliable integrations—most notably helping launch a third-party QR code backend that contributed to a client reaching 200,000 MAU—and consistently improves quality through testing, Sentry monitoring, and CI/CD. Comfortable across the stack, he has cut AWS costs dramatically, designed architecture and ER diagrams, and led teams as a technical mentor and code reviewer. Jonathan blends hands-on implementation with stakeholder-facing product work, often translating business needs into deployable technical specs. His background in data engineering and streaming nanodegrees complements his integration and platform work, giving him an edge in building observable, scalable services.
