Top SchoolJonathan Schmidt is a seasoned software developer and co-founder based in Montreal with 13 years of experience building game engines, interactive technologies, and tooling across C/C++, C#, JavaScript and cloud platforms. He has shipped core editor and engine features at Unity and contributed to Autodesk's game engine and animation pipelines, pairing low-level 3D graphics and animation expertise (OpenGL/DirectX) with practical Node.js/cloud asset workflows. Jonathan thrives on debugging and performance-driven engineering, with a track record of building Maya plugins, level editors, and simulation systems that bridge creative tools and production pipelines. As an instructor at Polytechnique Montréal he also brings teaching experience, making him adept at translating complex technical concepts for teams and students alike. Notably, he combines deep systems-level skills with a persistent curiosity for playful interactive tech—developing games and experiments alongside commercial work.
