Top SchoolJonathan Simmonds is a Principal Software Engineer with 13 years’ experience at Arm, where he leads the Fast Models team building functionally accurate models for GPUs, DPUs, VPUs, ISPs and NPUs. A technically-minded generalist, he has shipped large C++ and Java codebases across CPU modelling, debug tooling, engineering efficiency and infrastructure, and has repeatedly driven architecture, process improvement and centralized technical debt remediation. He is a practiced people leader and mentor with 5+ years as a line manager and is a Certified ScrumMaster who cares deeply about early-career development. Accredited as an Arm Accredited Engineer, he blends embedded systems knowledge (baremetal, RTOS, Linux) with UX, licensing and build/test infrastructure experience. Outside work he maintains open-source projects, races and rides as a keen cyclist, and builds precision in the workshop as a woodworker—habits that mirror his focus on craftsmanship in software.
