Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolJonathan Stiansen is a senior AI engineer and polyglot software leader with 11 years of experience building reliable, scalable products from startups to growth-stage companies. He blends hands-on engineering and team leadership—driving outcomes like launching a zero-to-one product that generated $2.6M in six months, resolving recurring production SEV1 issues, and improving developer experience for 60+ engineers. Comfortable across the stack and operational concerns, he has led engineering, DevOps, and product teams while founding a contracting firm that trained junior engineers in React/Redux and pragmatic software craftsmanship. Based in Langley, BC, Jonathan brings a measured, hypothesis-driven approach to problem solving and a knack for turning complex domains (payments, security, AI) into simpler, maintainable systems. Notably, he transitions seamlessly between mentoring individuals and shipping high-impact technical solutions, privileging team cohesion as much as technical rigor.
