Senior🎓
Top SchoolJonathan Welzel is a frontend engineer based in Berlin with 13 years of professional experience building responsive, well-tested UIs and full-stack web applications. He specializes in React (and emerging frameworks like Qwik) alongside a strong Java background, repeatedly modernizing legacy stacks and introducing component libraries and front-end best practices. At companies from startups to MediaMarktSaturn he has driven product adoption, led migrations from jQuery to React, and helped establish CI, monitoring, and testing workflows that improved stability and developer velocity. Comfortable across the stack, he has hands-on experience with AWS, New Relic, Selenium, and mobile clients that expanded product capabilities. Known for pixel-perfect interfaces, he also brings an engineer’s operational sensibility—building status pages, observability, and automated tests to keep UIs reliable in production.
