Top SchoolJonathon Munsell is a hands-on engineering leader and Director of Engineering based in Los Angeles with 14 years of experience building and scaling web platforms across startups and enterprise organizations. He has repeatedly taken products from prototype to production—most notably scaling a title and escrow platform to support over $550M in annual transactions while growing engineering from 4 to 30+ engineers and establishing hiring and career frameworks. Technically fluent across TypeScript/Node.js, React, GraphQL, microservices, Kubernetes and AWS, he pairs deep front-end roots with infrastructure and CI/CD automation that increased deployment cadence from biweekly to 30+ releases per week. Known for pragmatic architecture, he founded a consulting shop that delivered everything from React Native prototypes to internal content systems for enterprise clients, showing an ability to shift between individual contributor work and org-level strategy. Colleagues describe him as curious, detail-oriented and skilled at turning loosely defined requirements into measurable outcomes while mentoring teams and shaping technical roadmaps.
