Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJongbin Jung is a Staff Data Scientist in Palo Alto with 14 years of experience building data-driven systems that help organizations make better decisions. He combines academic rigor from a Stanford PhD in Management Science & Engineering with hands-on product work at companies like Uber, Bolt, and Medely, shipping scalable analytics and ML infrastructure for payments, e-commerce, and courier optimization. His research bridged complex ML models and human decision making in high-stakes settings (covered in HBR and The Washington Post), informing a pragmatic approach to model interpretability and policy design. Comfortable across the stack, he’s implemented production pipelines, optimization models, and low-level C++ interfaces for hardware early in his career, and favors solutions that "make things work without breaking other things." Known for translating research into operational systems, he blends statistical depth with engineering discipline to deliver reliable, measurable impact.
