Top SchoolJordan Bartos is a software engineer with eight years of hands-on experience and a 4.0 CS degree from Oregon State University, currently working at Viasat after progressing from an impactful internship. He combines low-level systems skills (C, C++, assembly, Linux, ARM/FPGA study) with practical data tooling and web experience in Python, Pandas, Plotly, Flask, AWS, and NoSQL systems. At Viasat he cut data loading times by over 50% through multiprocessing, API changes, and caching, and helped productionize analysis via CI/CD. As OSU Hackathon Club President and a multi-term teaching assistant he scaled club membership by 400%, created inclusivity-focused programs, and built testing tools that sped grading fourfold while improving feedback quality. Comfortable across back-end, scripting, and embedded domains, he thrives on mentoring and building processes that lift team productivity. Based in Royal Oak, MI, he is actively seeking software engineering roles where he can blend systems-level curiosity with practical product impact.
