Top SchoolJordan Butterwick is a Senior Software Engineer with 8 years of experience building scalable, secure full‑stack web applications across industries from payments to pet care. He is polyglot and multi‑paradigm, comfortable shipping backend microservices in Scala, Rust and Python as well as Typescript frontends and data tooling. At Statflo he worked on highly compliant, Kafka/Cassandra-backed systems and now focuses on Pet Owner experiences at DocuPet, blending product empathy with production reliability. Previously he developed fraud-detection ML pipelines and LAMP-scale payment systems at Helcim, giving him a rare mix of fraud analytics, data engineering, and transactional systems expertise. Based in Airdrie, Alberta, he pairs hands-on engineering with a "techno-farmer" mindset—practical, experimental, and results-oriented.
