Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolJordan Emslie is a backend-focused software developer with nine years of experience building resilient, production-ready systems from a base in West Kelowna, BC. Currently at Trellis Social Enterprise, he brings practical experience integrating cloud services and containerized deployments from prior roles. He architected a centralized text-to-speech and transcription SAAS at Saturn Animation Studios, tying together Google, AWS, IBM, and Azure services with React and Node.js. Comfortable across backend APIs, cloud storage, and data querying (BigQuery), he emphasizes systems that hold up under real-world load rather than theoretical elegance. A UBC Okanagan computer science graduate, he pairs hands-on implementation skills with a pragmatic, product-minded approach to solving messy engineering problems.
