Jordi Bolibar is a CNRS Research Scientist based in Grenoble who combines eight years of experience in glaciology, hydrology and scientific machine learning to study large-scale climate–glacier interactions. With a PhD from Université Grenoble Alpes and postdoctoral work at TU Delft and Utrecht University, he develops deep-learning glacio-hydrological models to assess past and future alpine glacier evolution. He began his career as a software engineer, bringing robust C++ and full-stack development experience to research code and reproducible workflows. Jordi’s work bridges rigorous field-focused earth science and modern ML methods, enabling scalable climate impact analyses. Fluent in both academic and production software practices, he uniquely blends domain expertise with engineering discipline to turn complex climate data into actionable insights.
