Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJorge Calle is an independent developer with over a decade in tech, focused on native iOS apps and bespoke WordPress experiences that empower solopreneurs and small businesses. He spent seven years at Automattic evolving from a Happiness Engineer into a web developer, where he shipped internal tools, marketing blocks for Gutenberg, and productivity-enhancing integrations between WordPress and customer support systems. Jorge combines systems-level IT experience from nonprofit and enterprise roles with a designer’s attention to joyful, intentional user experiences—most recently launching an iPhone app aimed at mindful workflows. He’s curious about personal knowledge management, intentional productivity, and how tooling can foster creativity and self-reflection, and he often experiments at that intersection through his KatanaLab projects. Based in Vila Nova de Gaia, Portugal, he brings a rare blend of customer-facing empathy, infrastructure know-how, and product-minded engineering.
