Senior🎓
Top SchoolJorge Ortega is a full-stack developer based in Mexico City with over a decade of hands-on experience building web applications, migrating legacy systems to the web, and designing architectures using React, Node.js and PHP. He has driven transitions to modern stacks at major media companies like Televisa/Televisa Univision and contributed to high-traffic portals, PWAs and serverless Lambdas for sports APIs. Comfortable from servers and databases to responsive front-ends, he pairs practical engineering with data migration and CMS integrations (including MongoDB and custom CMS → WordPress migrations). A committed knowledge sharer, Jorge has authored programming articles and led internal workshops and public training on Git, GitHub and JavaScript. He approaches frameworks from first principles—favoring deep understanding of core languages (especially JavaScript) before adopting higher-level tools—which informs pragmatic, maintainable solutions.
