Top SchoolJoris Urbaitis is a Staff Software Engineer in Bellevue with 14 years of experience specializing in modern web app performance, telemetry design, and regression monitoring. He rose through engineering and management roles at Hummingbird after a long tenure at Microsoft, where he optimized React-Redux PWA clients for Dynamics and PowerApps. Joris blends hands-on frontend optimization with systems thinking—building telemetry that turns noisy metrics into actionable performance wins. He has led teams as an engineering manager while continuing to drive technical improvements as an individual contributor. A first-class Computer Science graduate from the University of Edinburgh, he also brings early mobile experience from building an Android photo-mapping app. Colleagues would describe him as pragmatic, metrics-driven, and comfortable navigating both product tradeoffs and low-level client performance challenges.
