Top SchoolJörn Schlingensiepen is a professor of engineering informatics and computer-aided product development at Technische Hochschule Ingolstadt with over a decade of academic leadership and eight years of focused industry-facing IT experience. Trained as a mechanical engineer, he bridges engineering practice and software applications across sectors, translating complex technical needs into teachable, usable systems. As Vice President of the Hochschullehrerbund he advocates for professional and general education as the core remedy for societal challenges, emphasizing empowerment, critical reflection, and lifelong learning. He combines hands-on technical insight with a strong commitment to pedagogy, aiming to make education accessible so societies become more resilient to demagogy. Colleagues describe him as someone who treats the Enlightenment as an ongoing process and seeks to turn education into a positive feedback loop rather than a one-off intervention. Based in Fulda, Germany, he blends regional engagement with a national voice on higher education policy.
