Summary
👤
Senior🎓
Top SchoolJosé Dias is a seasoned back-end developer with 13 years of experience building scalable video, game and distributed systems from Portugal. He has led technical teams and maintained complex game engines and multiplayer infrastructures (pixi.js, Nakama, Node.js, Docker/Kubernetes), and recently returned to backend work at Sky Portugal. His background spans frontend-to-backend evolution—migrating large codebases to modern JS stacks and architecting caching-optimized integration backends with observability (Prometheus, Jaeger). José combines deep practical experience with R&D roots in graphics and computer vision (C++, OpenGL, OpenCV), which informs his affinity for challenging problems like video serving and distributed storage. He prefers direct, reasoned professional outreach and is not open to relocation at the moment.
