Senior🎓
Top SchoolJosef Hopfgartner is a seasoned software engineer and systems integrator based in Austria with nine years of formal industry experience and a long history of Linux and Java engineering dating back to the mid-1990s. He blends hands-on expertise in high-availability cluster administration, database administration, and system integration with practical software development—often in Java and Nuclos—across roles from owner of a Linux-focused consultancy to acting CIO. Josef has led infrastructure, security design, ERP integration and production-process application projects, demonstrating an ability to move between deep operational work and strategic IT leadership. Known as a "linux and java addict," he brings rare continuity of tooling and platform knowledge across decades, which helps stabilize complex systems while enabling new development. Colleagues benefit from his team-building experience and pragmatic approach to turning legacy environments into maintainable, clustered solutions.
