Top SchoolJoseph Akayesi is a Senior Software Engineer with eight years of experience building cloud-native, high-availability backend systems for FinTech and B2B platforms. He excels at performance-driven engineering—optimizing PL/SQL and re-architecting services to achieve up to 99% improvements in throughput and latency while supporting tens of thousands of concurrent users. Joseph blends hands-on delivery (Go, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Redis, AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform) with engineering leadership, mentoring teams and institutionalizing CI/CD to accelerate product velocity. He has led greenfield efforts from infrastructure to product, secured grants for blockchain innovation, and advised clients on buy-vs-build decisions that saved hundreds of developer-hours weekly. An active contributor to the Ortelius microservice management project, he brings both pragmatic operational experience and a systems-thinking mindset to complex, compliance-driven domains.
