Top SchoolJoseph Gilley is a seasoned software engineer and co-founder with 13 years of experience building distributed systems and developer-friendly platforms from startup to scale. He has led architecture and cross-team initiatives—most recently at Silo—designing event-driven CDC pipelines, real-time sync platforms, and generated-code GraphQL APIs to accelerate product launches. At Uber he built real-time billing and geospatial sharding solutions that shortened launch cycles and standardized billing across multiple businesses. A founder of a YC-backed bandit-algorithms startup acquired by Silo, he blends experimental ML-driven product optimization with pragmatic engineering. Based in San Francisco, he favors creation for its own sake and often seeds engineering culture through recurring review forums and volunteer architecture working groups. Collected experience across startups and large enterprises gives him a pragmatic bias for shipping auditable, scalable systems that empower full-stack teams.
