Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoseph Orme is a Cloud Security Engineer based in Tokyo with eight years of hands-on experience building and securing cloud-native platforms across AWS, GCP, and Azure. He has transitioned from backend and platform engineering into cloud security and developer advocacy at Woven by Toyota, where he designs tooling and guidance to make complex architectures more secure and actionable for engineers. His background spans high-scale microservices, telemetry systems, and migrations (Golang, Java, Kubernetes, Helm, ArgoCD), and he brings practical experience with SIEM, cloud scanning tools like Wiz, Vault, and IoT integrations. Known as a curious "professional nerd," he pairs deep technical curiosity—game development and otaku interests—with mentorship and developer-focused documentation to help teams adopt robust, maintainable solutions. A non-obvious strength is his blend of hands-on implementation plus developer relations experience, enabling him to translate security complexity into pragmatic, team-friendly workflows.
