Top SchoolJoseph Pickert is a self-taught senior software engineer with seven years of experience building and scaling web platforms, currently shipping features and infrastructure at Kajabi. He has a strong full‑stack background—modernizing front ends with Next.js, maintaining Rails/Solidus ecommerce systems, and integrating distributed microservices for analytics, ERP, and marketing workflows. At small consultancies he led greenfield Rails backends, Kubernetes/Terraform transitions, and company-wide remote development practices, showing both hands-on coding and operational ownership. His early training in hydrology and environmental fieldwork lends him a data-driven, systems-thinking approach to engineering problems and a knack for practical, safety-conscious processes. Based in Lawrence, Kansas, he combines product-focused collaboration with a steady record of shipping performant, maintainable systems.
