Top SchoolJoseph Wortmann is a seasoned project lead and technology executive with over a decade of hands-on experience designing cloud-native, serverless systems and leading engineering teams across healthcare, defense, insurance, and telecom. He has co-founded multiple startups (EchoStream, ReliQuery.io) and led large-scale re-architectures at QuiNovas and IllumiCare that transformed legacy applications into resilient, event-driven AWS services processing millions of records daily. Comfortable as both entrepreneur and intrapreneur, he blends product, operations, and DevOps stewardship—authoring and maintaining a large suite of open-source projects and building an iPaaS and MCP engine extensible via WASM. His technical breadth spans Rust, Java, Python, Go, ObjC, Linux, Terraform/OpenTofu, Docker, and AWS, and he’s repeatedly cut platform rebuild and billing workflows from days of effort to hours. Based in Milton, Florida, he’s known for mentoring teams, creating repeatable engineering practices, and preferring autonomy over oversight. A former Army platoon leader and West Point graduate, he brings disciplined execution and a taste for high-impact work in healthcare technology.
