Top SchoolJosh Carver is a hands-on engineering leader and serial founder with 16 years of experience building data, AI/ML and full-stack systems across seed startups and large public companies. As Co-founder & CTO of ContextBridge and former Director of Engineering at Headspace, he has led cross-functional teams to deliver HIPAA-compliant data platforms, production LLM experiences, and developer productivity pipelines. He pairs deep technical craftsmanship—Scala/Spark, Databricks, EMR, AWS, React/TypeScript—with a product-minded approach that turned fragile notebooks into zero-incident data platforms and shipped an EHR and a patented client-side encrypted medical records system. Comfortable toggling between strategy and hands-on delivery, he’s run teams of 3 to 15 ICs and owned end-to-end architecture while briefing CEOs on business-critical initiatives. Based in San Francisco, he blends startup grit with enterprise rigor and a rare focus on “dev UX” that makes tooling genuinely useful for non-engineers.
