Top SchoolJosh Crockett is a Staff DevOps Engineer with 10+ years of experience who leads FedRAMP-focused SaaS infrastructure efforts to bring enterprise identity security into AWS GovCloud. He combines deep Terraform/Terragrunt and container orchestration (ECS/EKS) expertise with a practical engineering background in Java, Python, and scripting to rework libraries, remediate vulnerabilities, and adapt commercial tooling for compliance. Josh excels at translating security and regulatory requirements into repeatable, documented infrastructure and runbooks, and he regularly interfaces with microservice teams—sometimes by filing Jira tickets, sometimes by patching Java code himself. Based in Charlottesville, he’s an Agile-minded technical lead who balances on-call responsibilities with vendor evaluations and cross-team coordination, and off the clock he’s a Hokie, baritone, runner, and self-described “defenseman without a rink.”
