Top SchoolJosh Gage is a founder and geospatial engineer with 11+ years building interactive, map-centric web applications, decision-support tools, and cloud-based geodata pipelines from his Bozeman, Montana practice, Gage Cartographics. He specializes in PostGIS-backed databases, tile servers, and map-first survey tools that let stakeholders draw and comment on features for richer community-driven data collection. His work blends scientific spatial analysis—using Python, R and traditional GIS—with pragmatic engineering to operationalize projects from wildlife connectivity models to national-scale cartography. Prior roles in conservation NGOs and an MS in Earth Sciences give him domain depth beyond pure software, and he also runs a food-import startup, demonstrating an unusual mix of product, logistics, and technical entrepreneurship.
