Top SchoolJosh Geenen is a firmware architect and technologist with 12 years of experience designing and delivering hard disk drive firmware at Western Digital. He combines deep C++ and Python proficiency with low-level debugging expertise (GDB, Valgrind, Green Hills MULTI) to drive architecture, feature design, and code review across incubation and staging teams. Josh has led indirection and customer enablement efforts, mentoring teammates while shepherding new features from design through integration and bug hunts. His background includes building developer tools and web interfaces earlier in his career and contributing a widely used contact-sync add-on during Google Summer of Code. Known for a 4.0 Computer Engineering degree and a pragmatic focus on preventing bugs before commit, he brings both hands-on engineering rigor and a collaborative, mentorship-driven approach.
