Top SchoolJosh Larsen is a Senior Staff Software Engineer with nearly three decades of hands-on experience building customer-facing systems and leading platform migrations at scale. He specializes in backend architecture, cloud infrastructure, and transforming monolithic legacy systems into observable, service-oriented platforms, having driven migrations at companies like Netflix, Headspace, and Betterworks. Josh combines deep technical breadth—from device and media delivery early in his career to modern Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS stacks—with strong mentorship and cross-team collaboration that enabled partner integrations and product launches such as Netflix Games. Based in Cayucos, California, he has a track record of operationalizing observability and self-serve infrastructure that empowers engineering teams to move faster. An uncommon strength is his long arc of shipping both embedded/device-level systems and large cloud-native data platforms, giving him rare end-to-end perspective on product, performance, and reliability.
