Rockstar🎓
Top SchoolJosh Palmer is a senior backend engineer with 13 years of experience building and operating large-scale cloud systems, currently shaping royalties and reporting at Spotify where his squad helps calculate billions in annual payments to rights holders. He has deep expertise in Python, AWS, Terraform and observability, gained leading Mendix’s Public Cloud platform and driving multi-region, high-availability deployments with 99.99% uptime. As a hands-on engineering manager and team lead he has hired and mentored dozens of engineers, reduced toil through automation (saving hundreds of on-call hours) and modernized logging and CI/CD for complex microservice landscapes. Prior roles at Bynder and early projects show strong security and SSO experience, resilient distributed system design, and pragmatic product delivery. Based in Rotterdam, he pairs rigorous technical execution with an operator’s mindset for reliability and cost-efficiency. An uncommon detail: he combines platform leadership with frequent hands-on coding—building everything from SSL management and high-throughput metrics services to retail-facing mobile apps.
