Top SchoolJosh Schwartz is a founder and engineering leader with 11 years of experience building data-driven products that scale, currently co-founding Phaselaw to rethink eDiscovery using AI and modern data engineering. Previously as CTO and DPO at Chartbeat he grew product, engineering, and data teams, led GDPR/CCPA compliance, and helped steer the company through a successful exit and subsequent acquisitions. His background blends academic research in computer vision and ML at MIT, Cornell, and UChicago with hands-on product engineering—from launching a PCI-compliant B2B ecommerce platform to shipping analytics used by hundreds of major media companies. Comfortable at the intersection of product, privacy, and infrastructure, he pairs technical depth with strategic M&A and compliance experience. Based in New York, he brings a knack for turning research-grade ML into operational systems that solve real-world discovery and audience problems.
