Summary
👤
SeniorJosh Symonds is a seasoned infrastructure and reliability leader with 14 years of experience building resilient platforms for fintech, industrial IoT, and high-growth startups. Currently Director of SRE and AI enablement at Attain, he’s establishing the SRE function and making a large consumer fintech monorepo genuinely AI-ready at the platform level. He previously architected GitOps-driven multi-cluster EKS, edge OS deployment frameworks, and daily developer tooling at CrossnoKaye, and scaled M1 Finance’s infrastructure from zero to millions of users and $10B+ AUM while passing SEC and FINRA audits. Josh combines deep hands-on skills (Kubernetes, Terraform, custom OS/edge work, Go tooling) with security and compliance pedigree, having built auditable programs for major financial institutions. He’s equally comfortable founding product teams and teaching engineers to leverage LLMs—running regular “Cooking with LLMs” workshops to drive practical AI adoption across organizations. Based in Santa Barbara, he focuses on building infrastructure, the tools to use it, and the organizational capability to operate it well.
