Top SchoolJosh Wyant is a founder and seasoned software engineer with 18 years building scalable, privacy-focused systems from startups to hyperscale cloud. He leads Novapolis to create a peer-to-peer cloud grounded in confidential computing and data sovereignty, applying lessons from processing petabytes of data at Google to optimize distributed systems and accelerator costs. His background spans security-first encryption projects that protected billions of documents, infrastructure rearchitectures that modernized CI/CD and databases, and product-facing growth work that sped experiments from days to minutes. Based in San Francisco, he combines hands-on engineering with strategic product thinking to build sustainable, equitable internet infrastructure. A pragmatic mentor and systems tinkerer, he often surfaces non-obvious efficiency gains that reduce long-term operational spend.
