Top SchoolJoshua Miller is a Principal Engineer with 11 years of experience who blends software and manufacturing engineering perspectives to design resilient, scalable systems and improve team collaboration. At Optum he drives platform modernization—containerization, IaC, CI/CD—and owns service boundaries and architectural roadmaps while mentoring teams and fostering cross-functional communication. Comfortable across cloud environments (AWS, Azure), .NET, Docker, and front-end frameworks like Angular, he pairs hands-on framework and tooling work with strategic initiatives to reduce waste and increase developer velocity. He’s passionate about knowledge-sharing and practical teaching, a trait reinforced by international volunteer work in Malawi and Kenya, and channels curiosity into hobby projects—from 3D printer fixes to multi-platform apps and paddleboarding.
