Top SchoolJoshua Plicque is a Senior Software Engineer and founding builder with 11 years’ experience shipping full-stack SaaS and performance-critical platforms, currently rebuilding law-firm accounting at SurePoint after ZenCase’s acquisition. He combines deep Ruby on Rails expertise with Elixir, Phoenix LiveView, and Flutter work from his consultancy Or Equals, where bespoke platforms and AI agents drove multi-million-dollar revenue growth for clients. At ZenCase he architected a multi-tenant legal practice management product—designing QuickBooks integrations, a double-entry accounting system, and a modular frontend/backend split—then scaled the team as Head of Engineering. Known for high-impact performance consulting and extracting monoliths into maintainable services, he thrives on turning regulated, messy domains into auditable software. Unusual for an engineer with an ME degree, he began his career in mechanical design and HVAC projects, which feeds a systems-thinking approach to product architecture and infrastructure. Based in Atlanta, he pairs hands-on coding with strategic hiring and cross-functional persuasion to ship polished, production-ready systems.
