Summary

Senior🎓
Top SchoolJoshua Rowley is a mechanical engineering leader and co-founder who has spent 11 years building and scaling E3D, combining hands-on technical problem solving with commercial leadership. With a First-class degree in Mechanical Engineering with Mechatronics from Newcastle and early roles spanning safety-critical work on AGR reactors to high-throughput experiment automation, he brings deep product and systems understanding across hardware, firmware and manufacturing. He has led company growth by being actively involved in all aspects of the business—from engineering and project delivery to stakeholder management and executive integration. His background in cost engineering, safety substantiation and field modification work gives him uncommon fluency in translating regulatory and operational constraints into practical designs. Comfortable in both shop-floor and boardroom contexts, he pairs practical fabrication skills (welding, rigging, hands-on commissioning) with strategic executive coaching training from VISTAGE. Colleagues would note his ability to move between detailed technical fixes and company-level strategy without losing focus on delivery.
