Josiah Glosson
Bible Web Framework at Freelance
Milwaukee, Wisconsin, United States
Summary
🤩
RockstarJosiah Glosson is a software engineer based in Milwaukee with seven years of experience building backend services and cross-platform applications, working in Rust, Java, Kotlin, and modern web stacks. He has production Rust and Java experience from roles at Modrinth and multiple freelance projects, and is an Oracle Certified Professional for Java SE 17. Notably, he independently created an open-source networking mod with over 1 million downloads, implementing three custom protocols and a Rust proxy server—evidence of deep systems and networking skill. Recent work includes a Bible Web Framework using Rust/Actix and Nuxt/Vue, a custom GUI for Cisco TRex traffic generator in Java, and a Kotlin Jetpack Compose mobile app. Comfortable spanning low-level networking, backend services, and front-end UX, he combines pragmatic engineering with a strong open-source presence (see github.com/Gaming32). Colleagues can expect a developer who moves fluidly between prototyping and production-grade systems while owning end-to-end delivery.
