Senior🎓
Top SchoolJosiah Johnson is an engineering manager and hands-on senior software engineer with over 20 years of experience designing and rebuilding platforms, leading migrations, and improving delivery pipelines. He’s led teams from startup scrappiness to enterprise-scale reliability—serving as CTO/CEO-level operator who deliberately returned to craft-focused engineering. Notable strengths include system design, data processing, continuous delivery, and migrating monoliths to microservices across languages and cloud platforms. At PayLock he rebuilt core product and data integrations while turning a failing business profitable, and at Olo he specialized in large, risky tech migrations for ordering and scale. Now based in Oregon, he prefers roles where technical depth meets product-minded leadership and pragmatic process improvement. Colleagues describe him as a relentless problem solver who pairs entrepreneurial instincts with patient engineering discipline.
