Josue Lopez
Software Engineer at Target
Los Angeles, California, United States
Summary
👤
SeniorJosue Lopez is a Software Engineer with eight years of practical experience building scalable APIs and systems, currently contributing to Target's engineering organization after progressing through its Technology Leadership Program. He combines backend expertise—demonstrated by provisioning petabytes of cloud storage and building a latency-reduced Python API for 3D-to-AR conversions—with product-minded discipline from roles in tech program management and Agile facilitation. A first-generation Salvadoran-American from South Central Los Angeles, he brings resilience and community-focused leadership to cross-functional teams and mentorship initiatives at UCI student organizations. Outside core engineering work he leans into pragmatic validation—automating end-to-end tests and simulating consumer usage—to ensure features work at scale, and he’s on a personal quest to visit every major U.S. city by 2030.
